The wife of the governor of Kebbi State, and Founder Medicaid Cancer Foundation and CEO Medicaid, Dr Zainab Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has advised Muslims to give charity to the needy in this Holy Month of Ramadan.
She gave the advice in Birnin Kebbi, when she hosted the 2nd Women Ramadan Lecture Series where she also admonished the people to adhere to the religious injunctions in their private and public life.

to the governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari and made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja, yesterday. According to the statement, the wife of the governor also commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for giving her the necessary support and encouragement in her role as his wife in carrying out the function of her office, describing him as her mentor.
In his remarks, the Kebbi State governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said his administration has placed premium on educational development, especially for women with emphasis on religious knowledge.
The governor acknowledged the position of women in societal development and reaffirmed that the government will sustain the provision of necessary support to enhance their wellbeing and status.
The special guest lecturer, Sister Maryam Lemu who quoted, extensively from the Glorious Qur’an and the Hadith of the Noble Prophet, advised women to be obedient to their husband, while men should be compassionate to their wives.
Sister Maryam Lemu advised women folk to be in forefront in the searchand the spread of knowledge in consonance with their position as the molders of wives.
The two other speakers, Imam Fuad and Sheikh Nasir Mohammed Bunza advised men to uphold the sanctity of women by showing mercy and cautioned men against the maltreatment of women.
