Rivers Govt Approves N18bn For Construction Of Flyover, RoadsĀ

Rivers State Executive Council (SEC)has approved the sum of N18 billion for the construction of a fourth flyover bridge at GRA junction along Aba-Port Harcourt expressway.

The approved sum also covered the dualizsation of Tombia extension Road to Ikwerre road and Ezimgbu Link road to Stadium road.

The SEC also approved the construction of a new Legislative Quarters for members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

State commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim disclosed this yesterday while briefing newsmen shortly after theĀ SEC which was presided over by Governor NyesomEzenwo Wike at Government House, Port Harcourt.

Nsirim, who stated that the project would be executed by Julius Berger Nigeria, said the length of the roads for expansion is 680 meters while that of the flyover is 502 meters.

The commissioner said government took the decision to further strengthen its infrastructure development drive.
