Kinsmen of Chief Francis Egele, who became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN last September, the second indigene of Bayelsa State to attain such lofty height and died on Friday afternoon revealed the last few days of his life before his demise.

The kinsmen of late Chief Egele from Okoroba community in Nembe local government area told Leadership that the demise of the newly appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is shocking and full of mystery.

According to Barr. Douglas Ujah Oronto, the brother to late Civil Right Activist, Dr. Oronto Douglas, the death of late Egele is shocking” the entire community is in a state of shock. We just hosted him to a reception as an indigenous SAN from our community. It is really sad. ”

Barr. Ujah Oronto said that contrary to reports on his poor state of health, “he was hail and hearty before the sad event. It is really a mystery. Our community has lost a great man. ”

Aged 55, Egele, who according to sources was hale and hearty, reportedly slumped Thursday and was rushed to the hospital where doctors battled to save his life before he succumbed to the cold hand of death.

The deceased reportedly had his thanksgiving church service last Sunday over his elevation as SAN.

Chief Egele SAN excelled as a footballer, legal practitioner, public officer and community leader. Sources close to the deceased described him as a mentor to many lawyers.

His death is coming barely days after he held a thanksgiving ceremony on 31st December 2017, which was attended by high profiled individuals.

Chief Francis F. Egele SAN is said to have tremendously performed well in football, legal practitioning, public relations and community leadership. He is said to have been a good role model to many legal practitioners.
