The Atayero of Aramoko kingdom, Ekiti State, Dr Olusegun Aderemi, has urged the federal government to urgently find lasting solution to the rising insecurity in Nigeria.
Aderemi disclosed this in Abuja while receiving the GILS Leadership award for his contributions to entrepreneurial management, corporate governance, and national development in the country.
The GILS Leadership award recognises the role of outstanding leaders who have made immense contributions to the growth of the society in their different fields.
Aderemi also urged Nigerians to put the country first in everything they do.
Aderemi, who is also the president of Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHAssociation UK), Nigeria region, urged Nigerians to adhere to safety precautions to avoid hazards.
According to him, it has become important to draw people’s attention to the relevance of safety precautions to safeguard lives and property. Aderemi stated that the organisation had put measures in place to collaborate with government agencies to allocate safety rules post.
He said the group intends to work closely with various organisations to promote inclusion of safety rules on sign posts to encourage people to adhere to them. “This will Nigerians of what they already know but are not doing; avoiding disaster is part of our responsibilities,” he said.
