The Nigerian Army Counter- narrative team have been going round parts of North East of the country to educate the people on the need to avoid the danger of falling prey to false doctrines of the Boko haram Terrorists (BHT). One of the places visited was the Muna Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Maiduguri. Members of the camp were encouraged to report to security agents nearest to them any suspicious person or activities within the camp. More importantly to resist their overtures.
In continuation of the fight against BHT and especially to counter their wrong religious ideologies as well as to intensify community resilience and stabilization, the Nigerian Army counter-narrative team also organized enlightenment and sensitization lectures for KEKE NAPEP members in Maiduguri. Both activities were coordinated by the Director of Islamic Affairs, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Shehu Garba Mustapha.
These photos show the military personnel interacting with the target population groups at the events.
