Tinubu Hails Emir Of Ilorin On 30th Anniversary

President Bola Tinubu has  congratulated His Royal Highness, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, on the 30th anniversary of his ascension to the throne on November 11, 2025.

In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu saluted  the Emir, the Maimartaba Sarkin Ilorin, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the development of the city of Ilorin.

The president highlighted the courage, integrity, sense of justice and fairness that have characterised Emir Sulu-Gambari’s reign in the last 30 years.

Emir Gambari has partnered with successive administrations in Kwara State to engender peace and stability in Ilorin and beyond, noting that this has paved the way for the unprecedented development witnessed in the city.

President Tinubu remarks: “Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, is a man of honour and dignity. He served the country diligently before his ascension to the throne. And today, he continues to serve our nation as chancellor of Bayero University in Kano.

“In the judiciary, in all the positions he held and particularly as Justice of the Court of Appeal, he demonstrated uncommon courage, dispensing justice without fear or favour.
