The Caleb University Parents Forum (CUPF), have denied having a frosty relationship with the management of the university over fees.
The clarification is coming in the wake of complaints by some parents about the management of the institution demanding full tuition and
charges of services not rendered including accommodation, hospital, library, internet, among other complaints.
Many of the parents who spoke with journalists in Lagos, explained that the parents’ body, Caleb University Parents Forum – a platform for
relating with the university management had always been impressed with the school authority’s decisions over the years, saying there was no time an unresolved issue that could lead to any crack in their
Vice-chairman of the Parents’ Forum, Mr. Oritseweyinmi Boyo, disclosed that some students had paid their accommodation fees in anticipation of resumption but were advised by the school management to either carry such fees forward or get a refund.
Boyo noted that he had personally called on parents who already paid their child’s accommodation fee, to come up with the receipts of such payment for a refund.
He commended the university management for ensuring there was no disruption in the school’s academic calendar with the e-learning
initiative which has enabled the students to interface with their lecturers.
