Nigerian youths under the auspices of Youth Progressive Association for Peace and Development (YPAD), has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, YPAD national president, Hon. Fidelis Oryina Audu decried that the administration of President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo, has been grossly misinterpreted by young Nigerians especially in areas of policy and implementation processes in the fight against corruption, insecurity and economy.
Audu, restated the support and commitment of YPAD to zero tolerance for corruption, insecurity and poor economic policies.
According to him, “YPAD is undertaking to work with the federal government in the battle to eliminate corruption from Nigeria’s social economic and political sphere.
“We noted with grave concern the stress on the Nigeria mono economy due to over dependence on oil that is subject to the uncertainty of international market forces. NEC in its effort to help government out is summiting a 34 page economic diversification roadmap using human capital as resource for better sustainable economy.”
He called on the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) to do all within its mandate to ensure that the forth coming general election in 2019 achieve a more transparent mark and the most credible election in its democratic history.
“YPAD is therefore by this declaration seek partnership wherever required to assist INEC in this regard,” he said.
