The Chairman to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has charged APC image makers across the federation to effectively communicate the party's ideals, highlighting more, the gains of the APC-led government. Oyegun also added that while it is trying to get people to key into the vision of the President Muhammadu Buhari-administration, the party is however not working towards having a one-party state. Former President  Goodluck Jonathan, including his wife, Patience on Friday led a  large delegation of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, governors, past and  serving senators to attend the wedding in Minna between Halima Babangida , daughter of former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida. The commission also declared that only Nigerians can determine their leaders at any level, dismissing external interference in the outcome of elections in the country. On Sunday night, President Muhammadu Buhari proceeded on medical vacation, leaving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to take charge in acting capacity. For the second time this year, President Muhammadu Buhari has embarked on a medical vacation. Unlike the first one, no definite time for his return as the presidency has said his doctors in London will determine his length of stay abroad. The objectives of the two-day workshop include: developing a coordination framework; improving the capacity of spokespersons and developing a code of conduct, among others. Senator Enoh Dumps PDP For APC

By Ahuraka Isah and Solomon Ayado, Abuja The senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, John Owan Enoh, who was elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the senate yesterday formally defected to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, thus further reducing the number of PDP caucus in the upper legislative chamber. The ruling party already had a majority in the senate but its number still falls short of 73 which are two-thirds of Nigeria’s 109 senators.
