The co-covener of #BringBackOurGirls group, Dr Oby Ezekwesili frowned seriously at Nigerians who come to the Unity Fountain to submit CV’s and resumés to her adding that the Fountain was not a transaction ground.
Speaking during the sit-out of the group, Ezekwesili stated that the group were there to speak out for the abducted Chibok girls and every other people abducted by the Boko Haram sect and was not a place to find jobs.
She said that “this is not a place for resumé distribution,this is not a place where find jobs. So those who think that coming to seek for our Chibok girls is an equivalent of finding one thing or the other will be frustrated,they must be frustrated because our Chibok girls are not for transaction,” she stated.
“For as long as it takes us to compel the government to find the Chibok girls we keep standing, we will stand until the right thing is done and our Chibok girls are brought back,” she said.
Ezekwesili added that as long as the girls were still in captivity, the group will continue to stand, no matter the obstacle.
Also speaking at the meeting, one of its members, Fati Abba-Kaka expressed sadness that the girls were yet to be rescued, calling it an unresolved incidence.
In her words,” when I look around and see young girls movijng about I wish the Chibok girls are part of them”.
Also speaking, another member, Aisha Yusuf emphasised that the fight for the Chibok girls is a fight for the soul of Nigeria.
