The #BringBackOurgirls(BBOG) has stated that the minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali’s statement of the rescue of the girls shows how  insensitive and uncommitted government is with the rescue of the girls.
Speaking during an interview, the spokesperson if the group, Sesugh Akume stated that the Minister’s statement had shown that the government was not committed in bringing back the abducted girls.
He also added that such statement coming from the minister shows that they are playing politics with the rescue of the girls who had been  with their captors for over three years now.
Akume stated that the government has not given feed back to the parents of the Chibok girls and to Nigerians on the status of rescue of the girls, leading one to wonder if there is any rescue mission.
He added that government normally release  statements about the girls only when the group carried one activity or another, showing how hard government wanted the issue of the girls to go away.
Akume however stated hat the issue of the girls will not go away or be swept under the carpet as the group has pledged to continue demanding until the girls are brought back.
Akume also asked the federal government if by the statement, Nigerians should take the silence around the return of the 83 girls to mean that the negotiations with the said Boko Haram leadership have broken down. Recall that the minister has stated that  it may take years to find the remaining kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls.
The minister in an interview with the Hausa service of VOA, said the army had continued its search of the girls in the vast Sambisa forest
