Shun Inducement, Tunde-Badmus Tells Osun Electorate

As Osun State electorate files out to elect their next governor in a few days time, they have been charged to shun any form of Inducement and vote for the right candidates that can deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

The Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Delta and Edo States Dr Khamis Olatunde-Badmus in his Sallah message noted that politicians will make attempt at vote buying, adding that such attempt will not work as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is making efforts to curb the menace.

Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, the business mogul cautioned leaders against making inflammatory statements that could ignite mayhem.

 

He however expressed optimism that the July 16 governorship election in the state will be violence-free as fillers indicated massive deployment of security agents to the state to prevent breakdown of law and orderliness.

The statesman noted that Osun State was not used to thuggery until recently when some boy’s hopes were raised negatively, adding that with the proposed massive mobilization of security operatives under the supervision of high-ranking officers, the election will be hitch-free.

 

His words, “We thank God that snatching of ballot boxes has reduced.
The thugs will not be useful in the coming election.

“Osun has already decided where the 2022 vote will go when they reacted to the outburst of an opinion leader in the state. Leaders must be careful of what to utter during election.’’
