The National Population Commission has cancelled the recent recruitment exercise carried out by the commission
This was disclosed in Friday after an emergency meeting convened by the board of the commission, following the recommendations of the special committee set up by the commission to review the exercise.
It will be recalled that the commission recently suspended the recruitment/replacement exercise due to non-adherence to extant regulations and set up a committee to review its. procedures.
According to the commissioner representing edo state, tunde lakoju, the employment/replacement was to fill up the vacant positions created through resignation, retirement and death of some staff members.
lakoju said “however, we discovered some irregularities in the activities and because of that, we decided to set up a committee to look at all the ramification of what was done.”
