Security Challenges: Buratai Charges Commanding Officers On Mandate Of Operations

The Chief of Army Staff ( COAS ) , Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai has charged the General Officers Commanding (GOCs) in the country to be professionally responsive to the constitutional mandate of the Nigerian military in their various operations to safeguard the unity, integrity and sovereignty of Nigeria as a state. Gen Buratai also implored the GOCs to remain focused and committed to the security challenges in the North East and other parts of the country by seriously tackling all the confronting security threats posed by terrorism and militancy among others.

The COAS stated this yesterday, while declaring open the First General Officers Commanding Workshop 2017 organised by 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Ibadan with the theme, “Empowering Commanding Officers in the Nigerian Army to be Professionally responsive in combating current security challenges in Nigeria”  held at the 7 Division, Nigerian Army Officers Mess , Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri.
