The students, who were selected from different departments in the two institutions, won the inaugural scheme of the annual scholarship awards for being the best in their departments during the 2020/2021 academic session.
The selected students will continue to receive the award value on an annual basis as long as they meet the minimum per- formance threshold set by the awarding organization
In a statement made available to journalists yesterday, the chairman of ULMI, Mr. Sylvester A. Ekpen, urged the award recipients to see their current journey through school as a necessary part of building a solid foundation for the future.
He said, “Students should develop the right attitude/ mindset and never allow to- day’s successes becloud their drive for the future. With hard work, diligence, perseverance, focus, resilience and a little bit of luck, success awaits you at the end of the day.”
