Osinbajo Not Tribal, Religious Bigot – Former DSS Boss

Leadership Nigeria News Today

By King Abdalla, Abuja
A former director general of Directorate of State Service(DSS) Mr A.A. Gadzama has defended the acting president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, against the allegation of tribal and religious bigotry.
Gadzama, in a statement, yesterday, said those trying to portray Prof. Osinbajo as a religious bigot were being mischievous.
“Anyone who knows the acting president and going by his antecedence so far, knows this attempt to smear him is mischievous. The claim unfortunately is the stock in trade of a section of elites who relish in playing the ethnic card, a past-time President Muhamadu Buhari has distanced himself from.
“The allegation in our view is a ploy to create disaffection in parts of the country. All patriotic Nigerians should be weary of the activities of those behind the smear campaign,” he added.
The DSS boss noted that what is required of all Nigerians, regardless of where they are from and their religious persuasion, is to pray for the quick recovery of Mr. President and demonstrate an unflinching support to the acting president
