Nasarawa To Take Demographic Statistics Of Schools

Nasarawa state government is to take the demography of all schools in the state including special schools for the physically challenged spread around the three  senatorial zones of the state.

Governor Almakura stated this when he inspected  over a thousand of furniture purchase by the state Universal Basic Education Board which are to be distributed to schools in the state.

He said in a short period government will ensure that all the schools in the state will uploaded unto a demographic data based system to ascertain the numbers of students for each school,  classroom, number of furniture as well as the numbers of teachers  in primary and secondary schools when all the necessary rehabilitations in the school are completely done.

Emphasising on education as the bedrock for development, Almakura directed that school premises henceforth should not be use for social  activities.

“We will not tolerate our school premises to be used for social activities again as this has led to some looses in original design for academic excellence”.

“Government will take stiffer measures by ensuring that parameter fencing in all the schools becomes a priority so as to checkmate encroaching and  damage to facilities” He said.

Almakura added that the furniture will be distributed to all public primary and secondary schools for learning convenience which would improve on education of the children.
