Dana Airline Mishap: Ex-Bayelsa Guber Aspirant, Famous Daunemigha Collapse, Hospitalised

One of the passengers in the Dana Airline, Famous Dnemuagha , has collapsed Ita his home in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State following the near crash of the airline in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Danemoughan, a Niger Delta Activist, former governorship aspirant of the defunct Congress for progressive change (CPC) in 2011 and chieftain of the All progressive congress (APC) in Bayelsa, collapsed after arriving home at about 7,30pm and was rushed to an undisclosed private hospital in the area.

A close family source, identified as Ebiowei Daunemigha , who confirmed the incident to journalists, said famous Daunemigha collapsed while receiving visitors who came to facilitate with him over the near Dana crash.

When our correspondent visited the Bay bridge home of Famous Daunemigha at about 9pm on Wednesday night, crowds of family members and loyalists of the APC were seen offering prayers for his quick recovery.

A friend of Daunemigha ,who claimed to have missed the. Dana flight in Abuja, told our correspondent that most of the traumatised passengers, who attempted to demand for explanations from the airliner, were shunned by Dana officials.

Some family members of Comrade famous Danemoughan however told our correspondent that they are prepared to drag the airline to court over the incident.

It would be recalled that an aircraft belonging to Dana Airline on Tuesday overshot the runway at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State.

The plane, which was flying in from Abuja, skidded off and went into the bush near the runway. No life was lost; all the passengers and crew disembarked to safety.

Dana blamed “inclement weather” for the incident, saying the pilots encountered “very stormy weather and strong winds upon landing”.
