‘Youths Must Shun Political Apathy To Be Relevant’

The president, Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON), Prince Adedoyin Ajibola has called on youths to shun political apathy and embrace active political participation if they want to remain relevant in politics.
Prince Ajibola, who gave the charge, while receiving an award of excellence from a group, Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NCYN) in Abuja, added that Nigerian youths must learn from their past mistakes.
He called on youths to fully participate in the political process and avoid following political leaders blindly.
“I believe so much in Nigeria, what we need to do as selfless people is to bring total change to this country. If you say politics is dirty, then bad people will continue to play it and rule.”
Responding, the vice president, Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Gambo Mohammad said that youths would avail themselves in political participation and build for peace and unity in Nigeria.
He continued: “We know too well that you are one personality that has the youth at heart, doing the best you could to turn around their fortune.
You have been able to put smile on so many youths’ faces, as an employer of labour and being the president of car dealers. We have come to challenge you to do more. Also, not to relent on your efforts in making Nigeria a better place to live in.”
