Ahead of the 2019 elections, some residents of Katsina Central have endorsed former director general of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Malam Abubakar Muhammed for Senate
Though, Muhammed is yet to make his intentions public,the residents who spoke differently to our correspondent said following his track records at the NDE, said they were confident that he will offer better representation at the Senate.
Accordingly, they said they have already began mobilising support for him to ensure that he wins the senatorial seat
According to Halilu Ishiaku, the former NDE boss has attracted more projects to the state than any government officials in the history of the state.
He said, “we know how many projects he attracted to Katsina state during his time at NDE. Our children benefitted immensely from those skills acquisition centres and we will mobilise to ensure that he wins”.
Also speaking, Alhaji Lawal Jibiya said Malam Muhammed has the full support of the people because of his achievements.
He said, during his time at the NDE, Abubakar ensured youths from the state benefited immensely from various empowerment and skills acquisition programmes.
He said, “I’m sure everyone in Katsina knows his achievements while he was at NDE. He has proven his leadership qualities. We will support him and ensure he wins. “
