NIPR Inducts 101.5 FM CEO, Moves To End Quackery

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inducted the Founder and CEO of the Human Right Radio, 101.5 FM, Ordinary Ahmed Isah in recognition of his charitable interventions which are aimed at bringing succour to the needy.

In his speech, the Chairman of NIPR, Mr Tayo Hastrup who led team of NIPR members to the studios of Human Right Radio extolled the good works of the inductee and called for synergy between the Human Right Radio and NIPR in the campaign to end quackery in the practice of public relations in the country.

“Today, we have included you in the list of the members of the profession, considering the good works you are doing in the society. We see you giving voice to the voiceless and providing succour to lives of many who are in distress and so on and so forth. And we encourage you to continue.

“In quest to flush out quacks who are parading themselves as PR practitioners everywhere in the country, we need your support. For us to succeed, we need publicity. So help us promote the campaign against quackery,” he said.

In his definition, any one employed and is practicing who is not a duely registered member of NIPR is quack, and he said the anti-quackery is geared towards identifying such people and get them to professionalise and legitimise their practice.

Responding, Ordinary Ahmed who doubles as the founder and anchor of the Brekette Family Reality Radio Programme on 104.5 Love FM thanked the team and announced a 1-hour free airtime for NIPR to use in promoting its course.

Ordinary Ahmed who declared his support for the group said, “I feel highly honoured by this gesture. I lack words to express my joy.”
