A front line gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi has said power is changing hands in Benue ahead of the 2019 general elections.

In his good will massage to the good people of Benue marking the 2018 Democracy Day Celebrations, the gubernatorial hopeful encourage the people not to give up based on the current challenges bedeviling the State, ranging from insecurity, social security, increased tuition fee of poor students at the face of none payment of salaries among others as power is already changing hands.

He said: “There is light at the end of the tunnel as there is nothing God can not do especially when the people collectively called on him as in the case of our dear State, Benue for a particular supplication.”

Ogenyi emphasized that, when voted into power, he shall be contented with his salary and allowances and enforce such on every members of his cabinet as well, civil servants working under his administration.

In his words” Benue State money belongs to Benue people and it shall be used for the development of the State. It is unfortunate that Benue is the champion of States with negative economic impact on its people with self inflicted afflictions on its citizenry.

“Now is the time for our total liberation from the shackles of poverty in the presence of abundant natural resources, deceit, underdevelopment and misappropriation of priorities in governance.

“I encourage you once again to support me with your prayers as you often do for the Needed Change to prevail. God has already answered our prayers as a new government is being formed with the mandate to liberate Benue from its present state of quagmire,” he added.
