Chairman of Kwali area council, Hon Joseph Shazin has reiterated the commitment of his administration to improving the education sector in the council.
Speaking at a ground breaking ceremony of the store facility at the Local Education Authority (LEA) secretariat in Kwali yesterday, Shazi appealed to the staff of the LEA to ensure judicious use of the facility, adding that it could also be used for other purposes when the need arises.
He stressed that the construction of a store facility in LEA was an intervention to salvage the conditions they have to endure to work in a dilapidated building.
Earlier the secretary of LEA, Peter Leda had expressed his joy with the council chairman’s prompt response to the need of the LEA, just as he described the chairman as a leader who listens to his subjects.
Leda noted that staffs of the LEA are motivated by the gesture, adding that the gesture is another legacy the chairman is leaving, in addition to other ones he had recorded in the past.
