Human resources personnel in various organizations across the country have stressed the need to constantly engage the support of others in harnessing potential of the work force.
They spoke during the just concluded Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) 10th edition of the special human resource Forum held in Lagos.
A London-based Nigerian HR consultant, Richie Dayo Johnson said personnel managers could achieve more through collaborative efforts.
Dwelling on the theme for the forum, “Talent and intelligent Leadership: a roadmap to unleashing greatness in your current and future leaders”, the guest speaker, John Mattone said for every human resource personnel to achieve Intelligent leadership, critical and strategic thinking, decision-making, communication skills are all necessary to achieve the desired results.
“Have a goal, but know that you cannot achieve the goal without the support, guidance and input of those around you, consider them to be your critical stakeholders, ask for their suggestions and always thank them for their input,” he added.
The President and Chairman of Council of CIPM, Udom Inoyo said the forum was organised to help participants raise their game and impact their businesses impeccably.
Inoyo said, “We brought experts to examine business issues, instigate HR thought leadership inputs, share knowledge with practitioners and challenge long-held principles, all in a bid to ensure that participants are renewed when they return to work.

He described the forum as the Institute’s flagship annual learning, knowledge-sharing and development platform designed to address topical, people management issues on the front burners of HR practitioners nationwide.
