Gov Ishaku Seeks Assembly’s Approval For N4.3bn Loan

Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, has seek for the approval of the Taraba State House Assembly for borrowing plan of N4,367,415.00 billion to execute three road projects in the state. Ishaku in a letter to the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abel Peter Diah yesterday in Jalingo said in the course of the execution of capital projects in the 2018 appropriation law, it has become evident that projected revenues from all sources are not achievable to shoulder all the projects contained in the appropriation bill.
“Consequently, executive council resolved subject to the approval of the Honorable House to vire a total sum of four billion, three hundred and sixty seven million, four hundred and eight thousand, four hundred and fifteen naira.

“The money if approved by the House would cover design and construction of Magami road network in Jalingo (6.7km) N388, 890, 415.00, design and construction of Abong-Nguroje road (82km) 500,000.000.00.
Design and Construction of Takum Bissaula road (70km) N150,000.000.00, civil work at Jalingo Airport N550,000,000,00, construction of township roads in the three senatorial district N500.000.000.00.
Vired to design and construction of Mararraba-Baissaula Abong Road (82km) at N2,088890,415.00.
Construction of Jalingo-Kona- Lau phase 1 (6.5km) N500.000.000.00, dualisation of Jalingo city gates (13km) 100. 000.000.00, provision and installation of electro-mechanical fittings for UNIDO N77, 535,000.00,” he said.
The governor in the letter called on the House to approve the fund so as to bring the needed development to the state.
