Rotary Club International, District 9125 is set to charter a new club in Abuja to deliver on meaningful and sustainable service within the territory, which is a major focus of the club.
Past district government club 9125, Joshua Hassan who was a guest speaker at the inaugural meeting of provisional Rotary Club of Abuja (The Ambassadors), explained that most of the members are peace ambassadors who are also professionals in various fields and businesses.
Hassan disclosed that District 9125 covers the whole of the southeast, northeast sub region, northwest sub region, north central sub region and some clubs in the southwest and as such there is need for more clubs to be chartered to bring in more hands.
Also speaking, a chartered member of the club, Ozuem Esiri explained that the inaugural meeting was meant to bring together friends and family who share the same ideas and are committed to bringing more people to service.
Ozuem noted that the services of the club are humanitarian and meetings such as the inaugural meeting is an avenue to encourage more people to serve humanity.
An intending member, Jude Ayalogu said he has the passion for service, as he has been opportune to school abroad and realized that to work there, you must show service to humanity.
