Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, yesterday, approved the appointment of 23 clerks to the legislative councils of the local governments.
A statement, signed by the governors’ spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan, said the appointments were in line with the provision of section 16(1) and (2) of the Local Government Law No 3 of 2018, the Kaduna State Local Government and Staffing Order, 2017 and the Organogram on Local Government and Staffing Order October, 2017.
According to the statement, the appointments were also in consideration of the need for the legislative council to consolidate and function efficiently with time.
The statement reads, “Based on the Law, the Local Government Council Legislative shall have two sections, Legislative and Administrative that will be under clerks’ office. Aishatu Garba: Birnin Gwari, Grace Danladi: Chikun, Bashir Lawal Gangara: Giwa, Bashir Jafaru: Igabi, Isiyaku Abdullahi: Ikara, Doulima D Gayya: Jaba,Helen Jogada: Jema’a, Mairo Mustapha: Kachia, Auwal Abdulrahman: Kaduna North, Halima Suleiman: Kaduna South, Jamila Abubakar: Kagarko, Yakubu Benjamin: Kajuru, Tina James Boda: Kaura, Musa Adamu: Kauru, Nuhu Lawal: Kubau, Dauda Muhammed: Kudan, Isa Sani: Lere, Ibrahim Mato: Makarfi.
