The governing council of the University of Abuja, (UniAbuja) has set up a committee to address complaints surrounding the collection of certificates by its graduates and to redeem the image of the institution.
Registrar of the university, Mrs. Rifkatu Hoshen Swanta, who disclosed this at the weekend, assured graduands that the management of the university was making concerted efforts to issue certificates to them without hitches.
Swanta explained that the delay is due to accumulation of backlog of certificates that were not issued by previous management, adding that the institution would do everything possible to clear the issues and set in place modalities to ensure sanity and prompt collection.
“The vice chancellor of the university, Prof Michael Adikwu has put in place measures to end the difficulties, being face by some awardees. I urge all our graduands to cooperate with the registry staff of the university at all the time, with a view to making the process of collection faster.”
She also appealed to all graduating students, yet to collect their certificates, to exercise patience with the institution.
