Teachers have been urged to inculcate high moral values in in students in line with Islamic teaching and values.
This charge was made by the chairman, Muslim Community Center (MCC) Governing Baord, Senator U.k Umar, at the weekend during the 21st The Fou’ad lababidi Islqmiya Secondary School speech, prize giving and presentation of the school magazine in Abuja tagged: “The Learner”.
Senator Umar reiterated the need to teach and continually implore students to emulate the good conduct of the Noble prophet.
He urged parents not to be discouraged in training their wards academically, saying “education is cheaper than ignorance”.
He added that the governing board for the last 3 years adopted a discount policy which has helped in reducing the financial burden on parents.
“The students have shown through this year’s magazine that they have not spent wasted years in the school. ‘The Learner’ which is the 21st Edition contains exciting articles, which are the products of our students’ talent and skills.”
Also speaking, the chief presenter of the occasion, Ibrahim Buga, urged youths to do away with drugs and crime in order to build a good path to their future.
