Jemibewon Int’l Academy Graduates First Set Of Students



Jemibewon International Academy, (JIA), a private co-education full boarding secondary school, founded by Gen David Jemibewon (rtd) and Chief (Mrs) M.A  Jemibewon, in 2012, has produced its first group of 11 graduates.

The academy located on twelve hectares of land on Kabba-Ilorin expressway, at Iyah-Gbede, Ijumu local government area of Kogi State, officially commenced academic activities with the dedication of the school by Catholic Bishop of Lokoja diocese, Bishop Martin Olorunmolu on July 20, 2012.

The chairman, board of governors, Prof Kingsley Ologe called on the graduating students to carry the school’s touch wherever they go, urging them to continue to carry themselves with confidence and pride as ambassadors of the  academy.

Prof Ologe who commended the parents of the graduating students for their faith despite hard economic constraints in the country who could cope up with the cost of training the lads also attested to the fact that “the school could give the best of education to their children,” could be the tonic.

While expressing confidence in the success of the six boys and five girls graduating from the academy which happens to be the first set, General Jemibewon noted that entrusting children of tender age to the school and coming out with flying colours is not a misplaced trust.

According to the proprietress, the confidence reposed in us by the parents of the pioneer students with the brilliant success of the children, it’s surely a moment to bask in the euphoria of the achievements.

One of the graduating students, Abdulsalam Falilat,  from Osun State, whose ambition is to become a medical doctor thanked her teachers and parents for giving her opportunity to excel and promised to be disciplined the hallmark of Jemibewon International Academy, Kogi State.
