Two suspects, who specialise in the theft of solar batteries from solar powered installations, have been apprehended in Ondo State.
Olawadamilare Akindoye and Sunday Adegoke were nabbed by some youth and handed over to the police in the state.
Both men were arrested in Erikiti -Lowoye, Igbotako in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state after a failed attempt to remove a source of solar power.
Femi Joseph, police public relations officer (PPRO), paraded the two suspects at the Police Command headquarters in Akure.
Joseph said that the suspects confessed to committing the crime with an additional two of their gang members now at large.
His words: ”On 12/08/2018 at about 06:00hrs, information was received that some men were being held by youth of Erekiti Luwoye Community, Igbotako.
“Thus, a team of policemen, led by Yemi Adekoya, rushed to the community where two men were seen with the youths.
