Fayose Vows To Complete All Ongoing Projects



Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, yesterday reassured the people of the state that no project initiated by his administration will be left uncompleted before bowing out of office on October 16, 2018.

He spoke while addressing the teeming Ado indigenes at 2018 edition of Udiroko festival held at the amphitheatre in Ewi’s palace yesterday.

The governor appreciated the the people of Ado Ekiti in particular for solidly stand by him and supporting his government.

He said their support had ensured great developmental strides in the town as evident in the fly over, urban renewal projects, new market, 750 seater civic centre and amphitheatre inside the Ewi’s palace as well as many road network project that beautified the city.

Governor Fayose who particularly cited the multi billion naira ultra modern market that is nearing completion in the state, Ado Ekiti, assured that over 600 market men and women displaced when the old market was demolished would be the first to be allotted shops in the new market.

The annual Udiroko festival being celebrated by the monarch of the town, Oba Aladesanmi Adejugbe, and the people of Ado marked the beginning of traditional calendar of the ancient.

Fayose who was cheered by the people as he made his way into the venue of the event promised to keep in touch with them even after he has left office.

Oba Adejugbe who lauded governor Fayose for the developmental strides in the capital city said: “Generations yet unborn will appreciate what you did for Ado Ekiti .

Also lauding Fayose, Afe Babalola , founder of Afe Babalola University who is an indigene of Ado , said: “We  had been working here in the Ewi’s palace before Governor Fayose came,  but what he did here within three years is unparalleled.”
