Ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled to hold in Nigeria, Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, in a three man team have carried out full inspection of the facilities in the newly renovated Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as preparations begin for Eagles to continue their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on Wednesday. The Eagles will battle Seychelles in Victoria in their second Group E game on September 7th and play host to Mediterranean Knights of Libya on Matchday three in the second week of October later this year. The Franco-German tactician went through the facilities at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in company of NFF’s 2nd Vice President/LMC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko and Super Eagles’ Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor. Meanwhile Officials confirmed to thenff.com that the former Burkina Faso gaffer, Rohr will on Friday this week release his list of invited players for the away tie with the Pirates of Seychelles. After the home match with Libya on 10th October, the three –time African champions will play away to the Knights three days later, before flying to South Africa for the return leg against the Bafana Bafana on 17th November. The last match of the series will see the Eagles entertain Seychelles on 22nd March 2019. It could be recalled that the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after emerged as champions in 2013, suffered a shocking defeat in their opening qualifying match 0-2 against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Nest of Champions stadium Uyo . Cameroon has been billed to host the 32nd edition of Africa Cup of Nations finals next year summer.
