APC Nat’l Women Leader Tasks Youths On Drug, Cultism 



Youths have been advised to staff off cultism and drug abuse in order to avoid its disastrous consequences.
The national women leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  Hajia Salamatu Baiwa made this call, Thursday, at Anyigba, Dekina Local Government of kogi State, when the national leadership of National  Association of Kogi Sate Student (NAKOSS) and Igala Student Union Government of tertiary institutions paid her condolence visit on the death of her mother, Hajia zainab Abdullahi.
She reiterated the need for students to shun drug abuse, violence, adding that it’s psychological effects such as depression, paranoia, anxiety and health implications like kidney failure, liver and lung damage and heart disease can all be avoided by just shunning drug abuse.
She also stress the need for youths to focus more on adding values to themselves, building a sustainable career and be determined in all their endeavours to enable them stand out in what they do.
Hajia Bewa encouraged the youths to participate actively in the forthcoming general elections by registering and collecting their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs.
“My advise to our teeming youths in Kogi State is that they should ensure that they register and collect their PVCs, as it remains the most valid tools to elect leaders of their choice and also charged them to disseminate the message in their various campuses.”
“Reacting, the NAKOSS President Com Omeiza who spoke on behalf of the student union leaders, thanked the woman leader and promised to take the message back to their various campuses to ensure that, youths get rid of life destroying vices called drug abuse and cultism.
The student leader revealed that, plans are being workout for a sensitization tour of campuses across the state.
“Plans are in the pipeline for a tour of all campuses across the state to sensitize the youths on the dangers of drug abuse and cultists.”
