Rev Maxwell Onyia, has enjoined Christians to always be time cautious in all endeavours in order to show exemplary lifestyle.
Onyia gave the admonition in a homily he delivered during a service at Anglican Church of Ascension, Enugu on Sunday.
He noted that time lost cannot be regained in any way, as time wait for nobody.
He added that it was dangerous if someone was habitually a late comer to event and unconcerned about time.
According to him, Christians ought to be good stewards of time and focused at all moment in time.
The cleric stressed the need for timeliness and punctuality as Christians in the things of God, saying that it speaks volume of such individual’s devotion to God.
“Everyone has been late to something at some points due to unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances.
“However, habitual lateness can be seen as lack of religious and secular seriousness.
“Our interest in the things of God and other secular engagements should be seen in our punctuality.
“Arriving late at any occasion is a way of saying that your own time is more important than the time of God or persons waiting for you.
“We gather unto God in the Church, and should not keep God waiting for us,’’ he said.
