Probe Killings Of Nigerians In Saudi Arabia, Youths Tell FG

The federal government has been urged to probe killings of Nigerians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), in a statement signed by its national president, Olalekan Hammed and Secretary, Olawale Ajao in Ibadan yesterday, urged government to investigate the alleged killing of Nigerians.

The association stated that the evil act conducted by the Arabians was brought to public awareness by Satellite Times on Sunday, August 26,2018 after being hinted by a chat group known as Strong Nigerian Ladies a solidarity group of migrant domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

It recalled that a Nigerian lady, Omotayo who was a migrant, domestic worker sent her photo to the group and narrated her ordeal before she was killed by her boss in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The deceased had allegedly asked for her three months salary arrears but instead of giving her the entitlement, she was beating to death.

The association added that another lady, Shola was assaulted and starved by her employer.

‘’When she demanded for food, her boss started beating her and she had to defend herself against knife with hand but was injured on the neck. She collapse and was rushed to hospital where she gave up the ghost,’’ he said

YYSA which noted that the incident was a human rights case, saying it should be investigated by the Nigerian government to ensure that the culprits are brought to book to serve as lesson for other criminals.
