Critical stakeholders, aspirants of different political office holders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State have rejected any attempt to give automatic ticket to some aspirants, saying such plan will defiantly destroyed the party in the state.
LEADERSHIP gathered that, the recent decision by select group of Yobe State APC stakeholders where governor Ibrahim Gaidam was allegedly given the sole power to nominate his successor as well as determine the fate of other aspirants has been kicked against.
The members urged President Muhammadu Buhari and chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to intervene to avert crisis that could undermine the prospects of the party in next year’s general election.
A chieftain of the party in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Salihu Bakabe (Jinga), former commissioner in the state made this known to newsmen in Damaturu at the weekend while speaking on behalf of other aspirants from the state.
According to him, the decision did not reflect the position and the APC manifesto, but all members of party will not agree the decision taken by the governor and some few party exco executive.
