The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe state over the weekend described the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as “a dead party, not capable of retaining the state in 2019.”
The deputy Chairman Gombe central, Adamu Pata, stated this while receiving thousands of PDP decampees led by Auwal Abdullahi to APC in Kumo, Akko Local Government Area of the state.
He said the people of Gombe are tired of the “non-performance of PDP government “and were eagerly waiting to vote APC.
“ Dankwambo has failed in purposeful governance. The only thing we see is propaganda. We will shock the PDP in 2019.” Pata had said.
He said the defection of Abdullahi with no fewer than 2000 former PDP members in Kumo to APC was further confirmation that the opposition party had no place in the state.
The zonal leader and others who spoke, said the coming of Gafakan Akko who is the proprietor of one of the leading Islamic school in the state capital Aqsat Schools, marks the dead of PDP in AKKO LGA and Gombe central.
He said, “We are happy to receive such a political general in APC, we are happy to capture this big fish, along with thousands of his supporters”
“Gafaka is an asset and he will no doubt add value to our party.”
Speaking, Abdullahi pointed out that he was happy to join APC with his supporters, stressing that he feel fulfilled.
He said he joined the opposition party in the state because he had a mission to render service on its platform.
“Today, I and others are not just joining the APC for joining sake, we are joining because we are on a mission of saving the state from bad leadership”
