As Senator Representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Dr Rose Oko, clocks 62 years on her sojourn on earth, a non-profit making organization, a support group Team Rose, Thursday, commended her impact on human and infrastructural development.
Director-General Team Rose, said the Senator has been inspiring and committed to the course of grassroots development, therefore she has moved motions and bills of national interest and development.
He said: “The amiable and indefatigable senator representing Cross River State Northern Senatorial District in the red chamber of the National Assembly and chairman, Senator Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Distinguished Senator (Dr) Mrs Rose Okoji Oko is 62 years old today.
“Senator Rose Oko, who is a household name, is popularly called Senator Project by her teeming supporters and the People’s Senator by constituents as a result of her laudable achievements and impacts over the years in both public service and foray in politics.
“We also commend her impact on human, infrastructural development over the years and presently. Her contributions on the floor of the senate have been awesome because it is for the good of the grassroots, and her legacy speaks for her in Cross River North senatorial district with other parts of the state and Nigeria
“Her legislative impact in the 8th Senate has put her among the top 10 best lawmakers and leading female Senator. She is a role model to the youth and a seasoned advocated of human development through education and continuous capacity building. ”
According to him she has distinguished herself in all fronts and stands with head high as an outstanding and accomplished leader with pedigree and towering profile describing her as “The mighty woman with tall dreams and aspirations.”
He said the Senator who also is Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), has been a reliable, dependable and trusted leader with an impeccable character, content, capacity and competence.
“We will continue to support her as our mentor and leader. She is beautiful inside out, with a touch of grace and also soft spoken with deep precision and unmistakable accuracy”, he added.
