The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State, Alhaji Umar Nasko, has enjoined supporters of the party not to engage in politics of acrimony, bitterness and rancour. Alhaji Umar Nasko made this call when he received in his house ,members of the Inter Community Relations (ICR) led by its general coordinator, Mr Ogunsola Ajayi who visited him at the weekend. The PDP flag bearer urged politicians as well as party supporters to dwell on campaign of issues that will move the state forward rather than matters capable of creating rancour and throw the state into crisis.
According the governorship candidate, “My own idea of politics is to let the electorate know that your party is better than the other ones and you can do this through superior argument and not through violent acts,” Umar Nasko said. The leader of the group, Mr Ogunsola Ajayi had earlier said they were in the house to congratulate the PDP flag bearer over his emergence at the party’s recently concluded gubernatorial primary in Niger State and pledged their total support and readiness to work assiduously for the success of the party in the 2019 general elections.
