LEADERSHIP Staff Emerges Miss Indigenous Africa 2018

It was a tense moment at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotel Abuja where the finale of the Miss Indigenous Pageant and Awards took place last Sunday.

The cozy atmosphere and the crowd could tell that the crown would be keenly contested.

The well dressed and articulated contestant were schooled on various issues of national importance and what they would do if any eventually wins the crown.

After months of hectic preparation, LEADERSHIP’s damsel and model, Mary Onokome Obadofin was crowned the new Miss Indigenous Africa, 2018.

Miss Mary who couldn’t hide her joy thanked all those who supported her before and during the contest and promised she wouldn’t let them down.

She appreciates the organiser for putting smiles on their faces and also her colleagues (in LEADERSHIP)for their support and encouragement before and after the competition.

She also praised Mr Anthony Ada Abraham, Entertainment and Tourism Editor for standing by her as manager before and during the competition while calling on well meaning Nigerians to support her in empowering women and out-of-school children.

She said: ” It wasn’t easy combining my job with modeling. But I thank all those who invested their time. My family and friends , they were by my side. I want to call on everyone to support us morally and financially so that my pet project which is women and children empowerment and fight against teenage pregnancy could be achieved. And it is due to this reasons in went for the contest.

” I want to thank Almighty God for his protection and guidance. This competition has really opened my eyes and I know this is just a stepping stone to where I am headed,” she said.

Mary whose passion has been modeling has also been on different runways for lots of modeling agency.
