Sokoto CEFN Holds 2018 Men Day, Prays For 2019 General Election

The Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN) Church, Sokoto missionary zone have celebrated their annual men day occasion in grand style.

Clad with beautiful uniforms, the men led song and programme for the day.

Recalling how the previous year was celebrated, men chairman, Mr Peter Enejo Moses said the Lord reached out to them last year through his servant and former General Overseer of the mission,  Rev. Dr. Malachai Ogakwu with a theme “Fit for the Master’s Use”.

“And this year,  men of CEFN Sokoto Missionary Zone have prayerfully selected this theme, “Ordinary Man Doing Extra-Ordianry Works For God”.

According to him, the theme is to amongst other things let believers know that as awesome as God’s service may be,  it is open to anyone who will choose to serve

Said Mr Peter, “Permit me to bother you with more gratitude to the men of CEFN Church Sokoto for their collective loyalty to the he service of God and efforts in bringing the fellowship to its present standard”.

He further appealed to all other members who are married to make haste and join the men fellowship as part of their statotory duty in vine yard of the Lord.

The Zonal Missionary Pastor, Rev. Stephen Okadonye said the grace that will make ordinary men do extra ordinary works for God be granted to members of the Church today and always

Speaking on his part, one of the men,  Mr Sule Shuaibu said the day coincided with 100 years of the end of World War 1 where no fewer than 37 million people were killed.

“The first World War came to an end on the 11/11/1918 and today (Yesterday) Sunday 11/112018 is exactly 100 years when peace was preferred to the continued killings”.

Delivering the day’s sermon, the men chairman, Mr Peter Eneojo Moses said working for God is not about holding any position in the Church.

Taking his reading from the book of Nehemiah chapter 2:1-5, Mr Peter said,  we should continually lament over what should be done and was forsaken in the house of the Lord like Nehemiah.

“The wall of Jeruslam stood dedapifated for 152 years but because Nehemiah showed concern and with God on his side, he was able to rebuild the wall within just 52 days”.

He added that service to the Lord and humanity is not about ones position. Not about wealth or poverty but making the singular decision to work for God. “Just accept and make yourself available, God will do the remaining part for you and to the glory of His name”.
