Youths of Middle Belt extraction under the aegis of Middle Belt Youth Leaders Forum (MBYLF), have thrown their weight behind the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the group’s president-general, Comrade Aaron Adah said after carefully appraising the performance of the current administration, the youths have risen in one voice to back the current administration to continue beyond 2019.
According to him, no one is in doubt about the perilous state of the nation when President Buhari was sworn-in in 2015.
Adah explained that in three and a half years of President Buhari, there are visible signs of the country’s regeneration, in spite of the enormity of the challenges. He said the narrative has changed positively and there is cause to be excited.
He said though, in fairness to Nigerians and the people of the region, the group cannot say that President Buhari has solved all the problems he inherited, but explained that Nigerians now see a leadership determined and committed to improve their lives.
He advised Nigerians to take a close look at the country Buhari inherited and also assess the few areas the Buhari Presidency has impacted on Nigeria so significantly.
According to him, there is the looming tendency to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerians by the same clan of politicians to abandon the ship of prosperity and return back to the years of wastages.
