FMC Keffi: Group Honours Director Adegoke



A youth group, Keffi Youth Coalition Forum, yesterday, organised a grand reception to honour the hardwork and humanitarian efforts of the director of Finance and Accounts Department, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Dr Samson Adegoke, towards developing the centre and the entire Keffi community.

The reception, which was held in Keffi, Nasarawa State, was chaired by the former governor of Nasarawa State, Sen (Dr) Abdullahi Adamu.

While congratulating the celebrant for his many years of meritorious service, Sen Adamu stated that he is a man whose passion and lifestyle, are to be emulated by all.

“Adegoke is a man who has served Keffi local government, the state and the entire nation passionately with his whole heart and he is someone to be emulated.

“Even though, he has reached the retirement age, because of his efficiency, diligence and ability, the government decided to extend his tenure as director of finance, FMC, Keffi, for another two years on contract basis.

“I want to charge him to continue the good work because throughout when I was governor, even till now, his name has never been mentioned for the wrong reasons but for the right ones.”

While appreciating the forum for deeming it fit to honour him, the celebrant, Dr Adegoke, said that Keffi community, has been known to be peaceful and so the youths should remain non-violent.

” I want to appreciate God and the forum for deeming it fit to honour me and I would also like to appreciate our father, the emir of Keffi, HRH Alh Shehu Yamusa III, for his support and effort in keeping Keffi peaceful.

“I would like to charge the youths to remain non-violent and peaceful as the elections draw near, they can be persistent, because a lot of them need employment but let’s keep the peace, no matter what.”

While speaking, a friend to the celebrant, Mr Michael Adepoju, said that he has been known for his philanthropic acts, both in Keffi community and in his hometown, ogbomosho north.

“No other non-indigene, has ever been honoured like the celebrant.”

Also corroborating his statement, the dean of faculty of Arts, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Prof Adewole Alagbe, said that, Dr Adegoke, doesn’t discriminate, but does his best to improve the life of anyone he comes in contact with.

According to him, the celebrant has influenced positively, the quality of education in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Several dignitaries were present at the occasion, Emir of Keffi, HRH Alh Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, Royal father of the day; Emir of Kwandare, Alh Ahmadu Al-makura; Chin Madam of Akwanga, HRH Dr Samson Gamu Yare and others.
