The Nigerian Army says troops of 192 Battalion Gwoza at 9:30 am on 30 January 2019 during fighting patrol with civilian joint tasks forces engaged Boko Haram Terrorists along Gwoza-Yemteke road and neutralised four terrorists.
The Army announced the feat on its official Facebook with gory pictures of the dead terrorist’s bodies.
The Army noted that in the gun battle that ensued during the encounter, four bodies were recovered while others left with gun wounds.
The troops recovered two AK 47 rifles and two magazines.
“At about 9.30 a.m today 30 January 2019, troops of 192 Battalion Gwoza – Borno State in conjunction with members of Civilian Joint Task Force on a fighting patrol along Gwoza -Yemteke Road came in contact with unspecified number of BHTs.
“The Gallant Troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle neutralizing 4 of them whilst others fled with gunshot wounds. Items recovered include two AK 47 Rifles and two magazines. Pictures below,” it said
