120 Women Benefit From NDE-FCT Vocational Training Programme



Federal Capital Territory (FCT) office of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced  training for 120 unemployed persons on vocational skills, to enable them become self-reliant.

The Coordinator of the NDE in the FCT, Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar, stated this during the flag-off/training for 120 women from the Six Area Councils in Cosmetology under the Vocational Skill Development Department (VSD), FCT Office at the  NDE Skill Acquisition Training  Centre in Kuduru-Bwari in Abuja.

Speaking on behalf of the Director General, National Directorate of Employment, Dr. Nasiru Mohammed Ladan, Nyadar said the significance of skill acquisition cannot be over emphasized which makes the gathering a milestone initiative targeted towards realizing the policy trust of change agenda of President Muhamadu Buhari’s administration.

“This Flag- Off ceremony is organized by the VSD Department to enable you all participate and have pre knowledge of what the training entails and what will be expected of you during the training.

The duration of the training is two weeks. You will be trained to prepare or manufacture all of the following: Air Fresher, Liquid Soap, Vaseline, Beads, Hand Sanitizer, lzal, Detol, Body Spray and Shampoo.

“I therefore, urge you to listen attentively to get the knowledge you require in this training. It is our hope that your interaction with these Entrepreneurs/ Trainers would be a worthwhile experience that will transform your lives for good,” she enjoined the beneficiaries.
