The coordinator of the group, Bello Lawan-Bello, made the appeal in a statement on Monday while reacting to Tinubu’s victory at the just-concluded national convention of the party in Abuja.

The group noted that Asiwaju Tinubu, when elected, would provide a purposeful leadership that will bring an end to the security challenges bedeviling the country.

Bello described the APC presidential flagbearer as a pillar of democracy whose imprints could be felt in every part of the federation.

“Asiwaju have proved to be a mentor and role model which the Nigeria Youths are desperately in need to prepare them in the task of nation building.

“Tinubu has all it takes to win fair and square in 2023 and it is right we rally for Tinubu in order to complement his efforts that led to the emergence of our dear President Buhari.

“We the core Pro-APC Arewa Youths and in solidarity with our Governors in the region, shall deploy all the necessary strategies and mechanisms, commence town hall meetings and open air campaign in all the nooks and crannies of the northern states in Nigeria.

“We will ensure the victory of our Presidential Candidate in person of His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu,” the group stated.

While congratulating APC presidential standard bearer over his primary election victory, the group commended the Northern APC governors for heeding to its appeal in 2021 to adopt the former Lagos State governor as their preferred presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.

The coordinator attributed the victory to national solidarity and patriotism for Nigeria’s progress and development based on the principles of fairness, equity and justice as openly demonstrated by the APC governor’s forum and the delegates that put national interest above regional sentiment.
