Buhari Appoints Ebeloku Rector Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, as the second substantive rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Ondo State with effect from Monday, April 3, 2023.

The announcement was contained in a press release yesterday by the head, information, protocol and passages of the institution, Oluyemi Adebiyi, saying that the new rector’s appointment is sequel to a rigorous selection process which led to his emergence as the best candidate for the advertised position.

The statement disclosed that Ebeloku received his letter of appointment from the minister of education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, on Monday, April 17, 2023 in Abuja.

“Until his appointment, Ebeloku was the acting rector, Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State and a former dean, School of Business and Management Studies, Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State between December, 2018 and March, 2022.”

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration with Second Class Upper Division in 1994; Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2002; Master of Science (MSc) in Management Science in 2006 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration with specialisation in Human Capital Management in 2018 all from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He also bagged a postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE) in 2007 and a certificate in computer programming in 2001 from the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna and the Federal Polytechnic, Offa respectively.

Ebeloku started his academic career at Federal Polytechnic, Offa as an assistant lecturer in January, 1997 where he rose through the ranks to become a chief lecturer in the Department of Business Administration in July, 2015. He was born on July 11, 1967 at Ila Orangun, Osun State and is happily married with four children, the statement added. His appointment is for a single term of five years.
