The State Working Committee of Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP) has ratified the suspension of its state chairman, Hon. Philip Aivoji and his deputy Hon. Benedict Tai.

According to the party, the ratification of their suspension was necessary pending the outcome of court cases instituted against them by members of the party from their ward.

They were suspended by their ward for anti party party activities during the last general elections, and failure to obey the decision of the party at the ward led to institute a legal action against them to compel them to obey the decision taken by the party at the ward level.

While on suspension, the Deputy State chairman Lagos West Hon. Sunday Olaifa is expected to assume the post of the chairman of the party pending the outcome of the court case  against the chairman.
