Youths in Riyom Community the gateway to Jos the Plateau state capital have blocked the Jos-Abuja road to protest against what they call renewed killings in some parts of the area by gunmen.

LEADERSHIP reports that tension enveloped Farin Lamba and some parts of Riyom Local Government Area as youths and Community members have blocked major highways leading in and out of Jos, protesting the resurgence of killings in their Communities by gunmen.

Our correspondent gathered that security operatives sent to the affected areas were alleged to have been attacked by angry community members.

As a result of the development many motorists and travelers have been reported stranded along Mararaban Jama’a with many commuters forced to turn back to either take alternative route to their destination.
